Das PTS 93-09 wurde für das schnelle und sichere Prüfen, Testen und Identifizieren von Kabeln und Leitungen in analog und digital betriebenen Fernmeldenetzen entwickelt. Vorteile bietet das PTS 93-09 auch beim Einsatz in Daten- und Signalnetzen. Es ist auch möglich das Gerät in spannungsfreien 230/380 V Netzen einzusetzen.
Im Unterschied zu früheren Versionen des PTS 93, verfügt das PTS 93-09 über eine Spannungsanzeige und eine Geräteschutzsicherung gegen Spannungen oberhalb von 120 V.

The TESTOCOM 2/12 display unit is able to display the wire numbering coming from the signal transmitter and the associated signal transmitter number with its two test leads which are connected to one or more signal transmitters via a line to be sorted. This can then be assigned to the respective cores. Depending on the application, the previously mentioned connection errors can then be displayed. The cable length (with a wire cross-section of 0.6 mm²) can be more than 10 km.
