Very often, so-called portable electrical equipment has to be used in fire brigade operations. This includes all equipment that is operated with electricity, except for battery-powered devices. Generators are primarily used to supply power during operations. In exceptional cases or due to the special situation, however, another supply point, e.g. a domestic power supply, can also be used. In this case, the connection must be made via a personal protection switch. DIN 14660:2020-06 defines the requirements that a personal protection device must fulfil in order to be used in fire brigade operations. Our new personal protection cable with built-in PRCD-S+ is the first to fully comply with the specifications of DIN 14660. It thus provides the necessary safety in all situations when dealing with electrical equipment.
