Dry cleaner WDC

A special spiral wool is used to clean the soldering tip in the Weller WDC Dry Cleaner. For coarse cleaning the contaminated old solder is tapped into the collecting vessel against a soft edge.

Fine cleaning is then carried out by stripping or turning the soldering tip in the spiral wool. After fine cleaning, a thin residual solder layer is still present, which prevents immediate oxidation of the soldering tip.
