At approx. 500 °C, titanium nitride is vapor-deposited onto the cutting blade in the vacuum chamber using the PVD process. Due to the reduced surface structure and
the extremely high hardness, excellent sliding properties and high wear or abrasion resistance are achieved. TiN-coated blades can be used with significantly higher durability and cutting performance.
