The ABW I with shaft was developed as a light tactical break-in tool based on the S.E.K. at the request of American special units.
The chisel-shaped tip allows doors and windows to be safely levered open. The glass breaker at the end allows glass to be smashed in. The ABW-I is provided with a Kalgard coating.
