The stencil cleaner actually washes the stencil ''pore-deep'' without harming the paste, which is often the case when cleaning with alcohol and similar solvents. Because the stencil cleaner quickly and thoroughly dissolves even heavily dried solder paste residues and evaporates very slowly, only the smallest quantities are needed for cleaning
stencils. For this and economic reasons, it is advisable to carry out a preliminary cleaning with alcohol first in the case of coarse and extensive soiling.
