Wire rope clamps according to DIN 741 no longer correspond to the state of the art in the opinion of the German Standards Committee DIN and are deleted from the standard. Therefore, the dimensions for DIN 741 are to be regarded as non-binding. We
must therefore reserve the right to make changes. The article is replaced by wire rope clips EN 13411-5 (DIN 1142). If safety requirements are placed on the rope end connection, wire rope grips in accordance with EN 13411-5 (DIN 1142) must be used. In the opinion of the Employer's Liability Insurance Association, safety requirements always exist if
the failure of the rope end connection could endanger persons or property. Wire rope clips according to DIN 741 do not meet these requirements and may only be used to make detachable rope connections for secondary purposes. We draw particular attention to the liability risks which also arise for the trade as a result.
